About Dr Jibu Varghese

Personal Profile

Dr Varghese completed his dermatology training in the South West and underwent intensive training in skin cancer surgery, including Moh’smicrographic surgery at the prestigious Welsh Institute of Dermatology in Cardiff. Throughout his training he worked alongside leading dermatologists.

He has wide interests and skills in the diagnosis and management of Hi skin cancers, undertaking laser treatments, Moh’smicrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, dermoscopy, hair disorders, eczema, psoriasis, biological therapies, and general dermatology.

Dr Varghese is actively involved in teaching undergraduates, post graduates, nurses, specialist registrars, General Practitioners and General Practitioners with special interest in dermatology.

He lectures regularly for both the prestigious Cardiff diploma in dermatology and other post graduate dermatology courses. He has regularly been invited as a guest speaker at several international and national meetings. His research interests include the management of skin cancers, laser treatments, and skin barrier function. His research work has been published in journals in addition to a chapter in a dermatology textbook.
