About Dr Jasper Trevelyan
Personal Profile
Dr Jasper Trevelyan MD FRCP is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist at Droitwich Spa Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital. He specialises in general and interventional cardiology, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of heart conditions.
With extensive experience in cardiology, Dr Trevelyan is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. He combines advanced medical knowledge with a personalised approach to help patients understand their condition and access the most appropriate treatment options.
He is trained to perform coronary angioplasty using both femoral and radial artery approaches, allowing treatment to be tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Dr Trevelyan was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2006 and played a key role in establishing the coronary angioplasty service at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in 2008.
The service has since developed into a major regional centre, treating more than 1,000 patients each year, including those requiring emergency treatment following a heart attack.
His experience in managing both planned and emergency cardiac procedures enables him to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex heart conditions.
As a National Heart Research Fund Fellow, he completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree in 2002 at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and University of Warwick.
He is also a British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accredited echocardiographer, demonstrating his expertise in using advanced cardiac imaging techniques to assess heart structure and function.
Dr Trevelyan’s approach focuses on providing clear explanations, accurate diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment plans.
