Mrs Shahid is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with over 25 years of clinical experience in both the NHS and private healthcare across Worcestershire. Her main private practice is based at Droitwich Spa Hospital, where she provides specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of gynaecological and women’s health conditions.
She has extensive experience across all areas of gynaecology, with a specialist interest in infertility and reproductive medicine. Throughout her career, she has supported women with both routine and complex gynaecological concerns, offering personalised care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of heavy and irregular menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She also treats a range of cervical and vulval conditions, including cervical polyps, vulval soreness, cysts, Bartholin’s cysts and abscesses, and lichen sclerosus. In addition, she provides care for patients experiencing recurrent miscarriage and fertility difficulties, supporting them through investigation, diagnosis, and treatment pathways with a clear and compassionate approach.
Mrs Shahid is also highly experienced in surgical gynaecology. She performs a wide range of procedures, including laparoscopic (keyhole), vaginal, and abdominal hysterectomies. She has a strong focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques, aiming to reduce recovery time, minimise discomfort, and improve overall outcomes for her patients wherever possible.
