Personal Profile
I qualified from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ School of medicine, London in 2005. During my time at medical school I completed an intercalated Bachelor of Science (BSC) whereby I was awarded 1st class (Hons). I completed my foundation training as a junior doctor in the South East Thames region. I carried out my Orthopaedic Registrar training in Wessex Deanery.
In 2014, I completed an international one year lower limb arthroplasty and lower limb adult reconstruction fellowship in Perth Australia. I gained significant experience in primary and revision total hip and knee replacement surgery in conjunction with complex adult lower limb reconstructive surgery, following primary and metastatic bone tumour excision. I achieved my completion of consultant training in 2015.
Throughout my training I have gained experience in complex pelvic and acetabular reconstructive surgery. I have also gained experience in young adult hip surgery including hip arthroscopy.
Following completion of my training, in September 2015 I was appointed as the specialist hip fellow at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. I was appointed as a substantive Trauma and Orthopaedic consultant at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in April 2016.
I am actively involved in the training of junior doctors and orthopaedic registrars. I have presented at a variety of both national and international meetings and lectured at the University of Western Australia.
