If your consultation relates to hearing loss, tinnitus, or dizziness, I would typically require an up-to-date hearing test prior to your appointment. This can be booked by calling 0808 296 4729.
Please note that the cost of the hearing test is not included in my consultation fee and will be charged separately.
Mr James Snelling qualified in 1999. His basic surgical training was undertaken in London, working at amongst other places, the Charing Cross, Royal Marsden and Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospitals. He returned to the Oxford deanery for his Specialist Registrar training in ENT. He received his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2009 and finalised his training with Otology and Skull Base fellowships both overseas at St Vincents Hospital, Sydney and within the Oxford region.
Awards achieved include Teacher of the Month, John Radcliffe Hospital 2011, 2013 Ethicon Foundation Travelling Fellowship 2011 Parker Prize, Oxford Deanery 2007 Audit Prize, Charing Cross Hospital 2001 Tancred Trust Award, Gonville and Caius College 1995 Senior Scholarship, Gonville and Caius College 1995.
Mr Snelling was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Wycombe, Stoke Mandeville and the John Radcliffe Hospitals in 2012 and whilst maintaining an interest in general ENT problems, has a subspecialty interest in Otology. Current NHS consultant posts held Consultant ENT Surgeon Wycombe General Hospital, High Wycombe Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Personal interests include piano, cello, photography, flyfishing.
