Mr Ismail Mokadem is an experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon who has been caring for patients in Aberdeen since 2016. He has a special interest in using the latest minimally invasive techniques to treat kidney stones, prostate problems and other urinary conditions.
He completed advanced training at the Scottish Lithotripsy Centre in Edinburgh and has since introduced new services locally, including modern laser surgery for prostate enlargement (HoLEP) and advanced keyhole surgery for kidney stones. He carries out these treatments, which are designed to be safer, less invasive and allow quicker recovery for patients, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Alongside his hospital work, Mr Mokadem teaches future surgeons as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen and contributes to national training courses. He has also published widely in medical journals to help improve the care of patients with urological conditions.
Mr Mokadem is also fluent in Arabic and French. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised care, helping patients understand their options and guiding them towards the treatment that best suits their needs
