He is actively involved in research aimed at improving surgical care, focusing on surgeon stress and fatigue in different types of surgery, developing blood tests for early cancer detection, improving patient health before surgery, and advancing treatments for groin/umbilical hernias, haemorrhoids, anal fistula, anal fissure, pilonidal sinus disease and abdominal wall reconstruction.
