Dr Imran Ansari is a highly respected Consultant Cardiologist, specialising in investigative cardiology and leading advancements in adult cardiac care. With a strong foundation of training and clinical expertise, Dr Ansari is known for delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care using the latest diagnostic techniques.

He earned his medical degree from Bhavnagar University, India, in 2003 before moving to the UK. In 2008, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and completed his cardiology training in Nottingham. Following his CCT in 2018, he was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, in September 2019.

Dr Ansari manages a broad spectrum of cardiac conditions, including ischaemic heart disease, valve disorders, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, blackouts, and hypertension. His holistic approach ensures that every aspect of a patient’s cardiovascular health is carefully assessed and treated.

Central to his practice is the use of advanced imaging techniques such as echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. He offers specialised non-invasive diagnostics including 3D heart evaluations, strain analysis, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, and transoesophageal echocardiograms.

Dr Ansari is particularly recognised for his expertise in cardiac MRI, where he utilises cutting-edge methods like AI-based quantitative stress adenosine MRI to accurately diagnose conditions such as cardiomyopathies and ischaemic heart disease.
