About Ian Roderick Gee

Personal Profile

Dr Gee qualified from Leicester University in 1993. He was appointed a specialist registrar in Leicester in 1997 where he undertook his higher training in gastroenterology and general medicine.

He spent two years undertaking research into liver disease for his MD, at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge before returning to Leicester to finish his training.

He worked in Leicester for a short time as a locum consultant in gastroenterology and acute medicine before taking up his post as Consultant Gastroenterologist at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in November 2005.

Dr Gee’s clinical practice includes the full range of gastroenterology and hepato-biliary disease with the exception of viral hepatitis. He undertakes diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography).
