Mr Ian W Kennedy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in advanced hip and knee replacement, including complex revision surgery. He practices at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he is the Speciality Lead for Hip Surgery, and Ross Hall Hospital. 

A recognised international expert in complex joint reconstruction, Mr Kennedy is frequently invited to speak and share his expertise at major conferences, including the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Hip Society. His clinical practice encompasses the thorough investigation, diagnosis, and management of a broad range of conditions affecting the hip and knee, including:

An Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, he has published extensively and shapes international standards in surgery as the Specialty Editor of the Bone & Joint Journal — widely regarded as one of the most prestigious orthopaedic publications in the world — and as Educational Chair of the Bone and Joint Infection Society.
