About Dr Homoyoon Mehrzad

Personal Profile

I am an Consultant Interventional Radiologist with several years experience both in the NHS and private sector. I work at one of Europe's largest liver and transplant hospitals.

I undertook a fellowship in liver interventional procedures following my training. I have gained extensive experience in all aspects of liver imaging and procedures with a particular focus on liver cancer and metastasis procedures.

I aim to deliver the highest quality personalised healthcare to my patients. I aim to deliver this care with the professionalism and compassion that my patients would expect. My approach is patient-centred and I take the time to understand each individual's concerns and priorities when helping guide them to the best treatment choice.

I am happy to take the time during the consultation even in cases where minimally invasive interventional radiology treatment may not be an option, I respect the desire to explore all avenues before making a fully informed decision.

I work very closely with colleagues and can help guide patients to the appropriate pathway. I have performed several hundred procedures and gained a vast amount of experience working closely with a unique group of clinicians in a collabrative manner. I am regularly invited to speak at conferences and meetings both in the UK and abroad.
