About Professor Hisham Mehanna

Professor Hisham Mehanna is an internationally recognised consultant specialising in head and neck surgery, thyroid surgery and ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions. He sees private patients at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry and The Priory Hospital in Birmingham.
He helps adults with a wide range of conditions affecting the head, neck, throat, thyroid gland, salivary glands and voice box. Patients travel from across the West Midlands and beyond to seek his expertise.

Alongside his private practice, Professor Mehanna holds senior academic and leadership positions at the University of Birmingham and University Hospitals Birmingham. He is Chair of Head and Neck Surgery and Director of the Institute of Head and Neck Studies and Education (InHANSE).
