He previously served as the Pennine Acute NHS Trust Lead for Musculoskeletal Radiology, working hard to update and streamline Trauma Radiology during his tenure there. At Pennine, he provided imaging and interventional support to the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology departments. He also supported the tertiary referral Head and Neck Cancer services and held Head and Neck Cancer MDT membership.
Dr Imalingat reports plain film, CT, MRI and Ultrasound. He maintains general body CT and other emergency CT/MR skills. His musculoskeletal radiology skills include a variety of musculoskeletal interventions, including joint aspiration, steroid injections and barbotage. His head and neck radiology skills include fine needle aspiration and core biopsy of the neck. Patients regularly remark on Dr Imalingat’s calm and gentle manner. He strives to make procedures as pain-free and relaxed as possible for the patient. He regularly receives 5 star feedback from both patients and referrers.
He strives to remain a safe and productive Consultant Radiologist. He maintains his knowledge and skills through CPD activities, including attending conferences. He has actively participated in audit, research, teaching and service delivery at a local, national and international level.
Dr Imalingat previously served as a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for the North Western Deanery School of Radiology.
