Personal Profile

Mr Hasegawa qualified in medicine from The University of Glasgow in 2003 and undertook his neurosurgical training in London at King’s College Hospital, St. George’s Hospital and Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre.

He has an established NHS practice as a Consultant Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital and Evelina London Children’s Hospital with special interests in epilepsy surgery, paediatric neurosurgery and functional neurosurgery. He also manages a wide range of general adult and paediatric neurosurgical conditions in his clinic including back pain, sciatica, neck pain, brachialgia, hydrocephalus and shunts, Chiari malformations, brain and spinal tumours and carpal tunnel syndrome.

He has over 50 publications and is co-author of the popular textbook Oxford Case Histories in Neurosurgery. He aims to provide pragmatic advice and hopes most people will not need surgery. His interests include cooking and the mind-body relationship.
