About Dr Hartmut Kristeleit

Personal Profile

Dr Hartmut Kristeleit completed his undergraduate studies at the Universities of Bonn (Germany), Lausanne (Switzerland) and Barts and The London School of Medicine. He has a first class medical degree from Bonn University and performed his post graduate and specialist training in London teaching hospitals. He spent four years as an AVON Clinical Research Fellow at the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre investigating novel targets in familial breast cancer. He was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2009 and has since taken up a post at South London Healthcare NHS Trust where he is the lead for Acute Oncology.

He has a keen research interest in the role of novel therapies for cancers. He is an investigator on numerous clinical trials for breast cancer and chairs the oncology clinical trials committee at Guy’s and St Thomas’. He gives regular lectures for the University of London and has been invited to speak at national conferences and international meetings. He specializes in the treatment of early and advanced breast cancer.
