Personal Profile

Dr Hareni Srenathan is a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London, with over a decade of experience working in the NHS. Her clinical practice covers the full spectrum of dermatology, with specialist expertise in inflammatory skin diseases, skin lesions and skin surgery. She established and leads the complex medical dermatology clinic at the Royal Free Hospital, providing multidisciplinary care for patients with severe or systemic skin disorders. 
 
Dr Srenathan graduated from University College London Medical School in 2014 with Distinction in Medical Sciences and holds a First-Class Honours BSc in Medical Sciences with Physiology. She became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2017 and completed her dermatology training in Liverpool and London. She is on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register for Dermatology. 


She combines a holistic, patient-centred philosophy with a strong evidence-based approach, ensuring that each patient receives personalised, compassionate care informed by the latest clinical research. 
 
Dr Srenathan is also an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor and the undergraduate lead for dermatology at University College London Medical School, where she is actively involved in medical education and mentorship. 
 
Her academic work is widely published in leading medical journals, and she has presented at both national and international conferences. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), British Society for Medical Dermatology (BSMD), Royal College of Physicians (RCP), and Royal Society of Medicine (RSM). 
 
Dr Srenathan has extensive experience managing both common and complex skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. She also has expertise in the assessment of skin lesions and performs a range of minor surgical procedures including biopsies and excisions.
