About Grace Smith

Grace Pauline Personal Profile

Grace qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2020 from Keele University and straight away began working in a large NHS trust during the middle of the Covid 19 global pandemic where she built a wide range of experience in a number of settings including the acute wards and in the community. This enabled Grace to have a good grounding in a number of different specialties.

Grace was passionate about treating musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting and subsequently chose to come to the Highfield Hospital in May 2022 to specialise in this area. Grace can assess and treat all musculoskeletal areas of the body and sees conditions including sports injuries, musculoskeletal acute and chronic joint problems and post-operative rehabilitation.

Grace continues to develop her knowledge through continuous professional development and attends courses and herself runs regular in-service training sessions within the department. She also supervises Junior staff in the department. Grace gives a very high quality of care for our patients. She works mainly within the outpatient team and also spends some time on the ward facilitating inpatient rehabilitation.

Treatment options include exercise-based therapy, manual therapy and therapeutic modalities such as shock wave therapy.
