Personal Profile

Dr Gill Townson graduated from the University of Leicester in 1990 and began her medical training at Leicester General Hospital, where she completed an MD thesis focused on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). She continued her specialist training as a registrar in the Wessex region before returning to Leicester as a senior registrar.

For the past three years, Dr Townson has been working at Mid Cheshire NHS Trust, where she continues to practise across all areas of gastroenterology and endoscopy, with a particular focus on IBD.
