About Mr Gilbert Ozuzu

Personal Profile

Mr Ozuzu was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2001 following advanced subspecialty training and fellowships in Glaucoma and Cataract surgery. He has a special interest in Glaucoma & Cataract surgery. He also has a vast experience in managing complex combined Glaucoma and Cataract cases with an outstanding record of safe delivery of complex care.

He completed his fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Fellowship in cataract surgery at the Wirral enabled me to provide a range of secondary and tertiary care in glaucoma and cataract within University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.

He has experience in education and training including examiner at the Fellowship of European Board of Ophthalmologist and in clinical leadership including Executive Medical Director experience within the National Health Service.

His personal interests include, fitness training, running, tennis and travelling to learn about other cultures around the world.
