His postgraduate training was in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine from London/KSS Deanery. His higher specialist training was from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital; the key partner in one of London’s foremost Academic Health Science Centre, The King’s Health Partners.
Dr Das has an NHS practice at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital. He undertakes regular specialist endocrinology and diabetes clinics and is responsible for admitting and caring for acutely unwell medical patients at St Peter’s Hospital. He is part of the on-call consultant rota at St Peter's Hospital. One of his key responsibilities is to provide direct medical care to patients as a consultant. He has over 20 years of experience as a clinician.
Dr Das has special interests in both diabetes foot management and bariatric (obesity) medicine. He contributes to intra and interdepartmental consultations. Dr Das is an active member of the bariatric and diabetes foot multidisciplinary teams based at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital.
Dr Das also supports health education. He is the firm leader for students from The Imperial College, London and St George’s Medical School during their placement at St Peter’s Hospital. He is actively involved in undergraduate and post graduate medical teaching. He is a clinical and educational supervisor for junior doctors and GP trainees.
