About Mr Gary Boon

Personal Profile

Mr Boon qualified in 1983 as a Podiatrist and in 2001 as a Podiatric Surgeon at Homerton Hospital, London.

He was awarded Consultant title in 2004 while working for South West Lincolnshire PCT.

He undertook a Surgical Fellowship in 1990, with the world-renowned podiatric surgeon Dr Lowell Scott-Weil. This Fellowship in Chicago, USA, instilled the desire to undertake surgical training as a podiatric surgeon.

Since 2001, Mr Boon has worked within both the private and public sectors and established two new podiatric surgery centres in Rotherham and Huddersfield. He is experienced in professional sport, having worked for numerous premiership and championship football clubs including previously for Chelsea FC.

Mr Boon currently works as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon within the NHS for Rotherham Foundation Trust and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust. His particular interests are surgery of the mid and forefoot under local anaesthetic, gait analysis and sports podiatry.
