About Esther Perera

Personal Profile

Ms Esther Perera has obtained degrees in both Dentistry and Medicine. She undertook both her basic surgical training as well as her 5 year specialist surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the South West of England. 

In addition, she completed a Head and Neck Fellowship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore under Professor Bob Ord. Ms Perera has been a Consultant for 10 years.

Her NHS work involves general Oral and Maxillofacial surgery as well as her specialist interest in oral cancer management.

Esther is involved with the teaching of undergraduate medical students. She is an Educational Supervisor involved in Post graduate dental training and a clinical supervisor of post graduate medical trainees.
