Dr Nicola Burch is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist, providing private care at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. She has been a Consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust since 2011, where she also serves as Clinical Lead for Nutrition.
She previously held the role of Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology (2018–2022), demonstrating her leadership and contribution to service development.
Dr Burch has played a key role in transforming gastroenterology and nutrition services locally, including helping to establish a Severe Intestinal Failure (SIF) unit, which received accreditation in 2022. This specialist service supports a population of over 3 million people across the West Midlands.
She has also contributed significantly to the expansion of endoscopy services at UHCW, supporting increased patient demand and improving access to diagnostic procedures.
