Personal Profile

Dr Smith is a highly experienced and respected GP, with a specialist interest in Dermatology and Minor surgery. He has over 20 years of experience working within the NHS & private sectors. He qualified from Dundee Medical School (MBChB) in 1996 and completed his GP specialist training in Aberdeen in 2000 becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). He has also completed additional postgraduate training undertaking the Diploma of Practical Dermatology at the University of Wales Medical School, Cardiff in 2004. Dr Smith works hard to remain at the forefront of research and treatment development and is currently involved in dermatology research with the University of Aberdeen. He is committed to providing the safest and most effective treatments.

Dr Smith is also a co-developer of National clinical excellence guidelines regarding the treatment of adult and childhood eczema. Dr Smith has been an Honorary Senior Clinical lecturer at the University of Aberdeen for over 20 years and is committed to further clinical and medical student education regularly speaking at national & local conferences.

He is happy to accept direct self-referrals or referrals via your NHS GP.
