About Dr Douglas Fraser

Personal Profile

Dr Douglas Fraser studied Medicine at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. He completed cardiology specialist training in Birmingham, following interventional training in Amsterdam and research in magnetic resonance imaging at Nottingham University, for which he was awarded an MD.

He was appointed as Interventional Cardiologist at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in 2004 and subsequently Senior Lecturer at Manchester University. His is an internationally-recognised expert in transradialaccess for coronary angioplasty, an active council member of the British Cardiovascular Interventional Society and Lead for both transcatheter aortic valve replacement and the cardiac catheter lab at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

He is actively involved in teaching and research, having published over 100 papers.
