Dimitrios studied a BSc in Physiotherapist at Hellenic Republic Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I) of Central Greece. After his graduation he was working as a physiotherapist at the General Hospital of Naoussa and as a private physiotherapist for 3 years in Greece, managing musculoskeletal, neurological and elderly population patients. He was also the Senior Physiotherapist of the local Track and Field Team (Gymnastic Association of Naoussa) and of the local Handball Team (Zafirakis Naoussa HC).
In 2019 he moved to Birmingham to complete his postgraduate training courses on Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham. During his studies he started working for a private physiotherapy company based in West Midlands managing patient after road traffic accidents (upper and lower back issues) and a variety of musculoskeletal issues, chronic and acute.
After working for 3 years there, he joined Circle Health Group in 2022 and he is currently working as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Outpatient Department in Circle Rehabilitation.
Dimitrios is also trained in Acupuncture and he has a certification of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for spine and extremities (known as McKenzie Technique). He is also training to perform Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT). Recently, Dimitrios started training to obtain more experience in hand therapy attending courses by The British Association of Hand Therapists.
Outside of work, Dimitrios has a love for hiking, football, skiing, gaming and one of his favourite quotes is ‘‘Consistency and movement are the key to improvement’.
