About Dhaval Bodiwala

Personal Profile

Dhaval Bodiwala, who is originally from the East Midlands, qualified in 1997 from Birmingham University, and after completing his basic surgical training undertook an MD in prostate cancer. Mr Bodiwala then completed his higher surgical training in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. He undertook a fellowship abroad in stone disease to broaden his surgical skills and knowledge.

Prior to taking up his Consultant post at Nottingham University Hospitals, he was a Consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester where he introduced a new stone service to the hospital. Mr Bodiwala is the Programme Director for the region’s Urology trainees and has a very keen interest in medical education.

Clinical Interests

Mr Bodiwala has a sub-specialist interest in diagnosing, treating and preventing stone disease, but also is an experienced general urologist, diagnosing and treating patients both with and without urological cancer.
