About Mr Dham Mobarak
Personal Profile
Mr Dham Mobarak is a fully accredited Consultant Surgeon and is listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Upper Gastro-Intestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery. He is a Consultant Surgeon within the NHS at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, Birmingham, UK, and also practises privately at The Priory Hospital, Spire Little Aston Hospital, and the Westbourne Centre.
In addition, he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Medical School. Mr Mobarak qualified in general surgery and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1997. He subsequently completed his specialist surgical training and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He has a strong commitment to surgical education and training.
He teaches surgical skills and laparoscopic techniques to surgical trainees who represent the next generation of consultant surgeons. He is actively involved in national training courses, supervises junior surgeons entering surgical practice, and provides clinical supervision to medical students at the University of Birmingham.
As part of his continuing professional development, Mr Mobarak regularly attends national and international meetings and educational courses.He also organises and lead laparoscopic hernia training courses for senior surgeons from the UK and overseas. Mr Mobarak has established a successful private practice specialising in Upper GI surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic hernia surgery, and laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery (Nissen fundoplication).
