About Mr David Lavalette
Personal Profile
Mr David Lavalette is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Harrogate, specialising in foot and ankle surgery. He has extensive experience in the assessment and surgical treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including sports injuries, joint problems and deformities.
Mr Lavalette graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, Imperial College London, in 1993. He completed his orthopaedic training predominantly in Yorkshire, with additional training in Bath. He further developed his specialist expertise through a six-month fellowship working alongside a renowned surgeon in Melbourne, Australia.
In 2005, Mr Lavalette was appointed Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at Harrogate District Hospital. Since his appointment, he has played an important role in developing the hospital's foot and ankle service, introducing new procedures and surgical techniques to enhance patient care. He is also actively involved in the training and development of future orthopaedic surgeons.
His specialist practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, with particular interests in minimally invasive arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures, ankle joint replacement, big toe joint replacement, sports injuries and the surgical correction of foot and ankle deformities.
