r Knox specialises in arthroscopic (keyhole) and arthroplasty (replacement) surgery of the shoulder, as well as soft tissue surgery of the elbow. He also has a strong interest in trauma care, particularly the management of upper limb injuries.

He works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Alexandra Hospital, where he specialises in shoulder, elbow, upper limb, and trauma surgery. He has been in this post since 2016.

Mr Knox completed his medical training in Glasgow. He then undertook specialist upper limb fellowship training in both the UK and Australia, including:

  • Oswestry, at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital
  • Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre, Melbourne

This advanced training gave him extensive experience in complex shoulder and elbow conditions, as well as trauma management.

Mr Knox places evidence-based medicine at the centre of his practice. He focuses on using treatments supported by the latest research and clinical evidence.
