After extensive ophthalmology training in Birmingham, followed by internationally renowned adnexal/orbital fellowships in Leicester and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, David took up a consultant position in 2005 working in Russells Hall Hospital, Sandwell General Hospital and the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre.

His practice deals with functional problems of the eyelids, tear drainage system and orbits including entropion/ectropion, ptosis, tumours of the lids, facial palsy and watery eyes. He also treats patients that require reconstruction following lid & orbit trauma, thyroid eye disease and rehabilitation surgery for artificial eyes.He specialises in cosmetic oculofacial procedures including all types of eyelid surgery/ periocular cosmetic surgery and non-surgical rejuvenation such as conventional and scarless blepharoplasty (eyelid bag removal and hooded eyelids), cosmetic ptosis surgery, bespoke hidden incision upper and midface rejuvenation surgery including conventional and endoscopic brow lifting, Asian (double eyelid) blepharoplasty and nonsurgical rejuvenation techniques e.g. dermal fillers and injections.
