Clare Corrans is a Specialist Hand Therapist who qualified in Occupational Therapy from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 2000.

Clare has over 15 years’ experience in hand therapy. She has worked in specialist private practice in South Africa. This involved treating a wide spectrum of hand conditions including trauma, plastics, rheumatology, elective surgeries and work-related upper limb disorders.

She has worked in both private practice and the NHS in the UK providing expert treatment and rehabilitation of hand and wrist patients following trauma and elective surgery as well as assessment and treatment of chronic conditions in both adults and children. Her current NHS post alongside working at Circle Health Group is at the Hand and Wrist specialist Unit at Croydon University Hospital where she responsible for treating patients as well as managing and developing the service.

Clare has presented numerous courses in Hand Therapy and has had extensive involvement in teaching fellow therapists.  She has a special interest in work related hand and wrist trauma injuries and assisting these patients to return to work.
