Mr Lamb undertook his initial medical training at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge university, and graduated in 2004. His surgical training was primarily the Wessex and East Midlands regions, and he began work as a consultant vascular and major trauma surgeon in 2016 at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. For the first 20 years of his career, he was a medical officer in the Royal Air Force and has been deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Oman. He also completed a yearlong training fellowship at UC Davis, California in 2015. His areas of expertise include complex aortic surgery, trauma surgery, peripheral vascular disease and varicose vein surgery. As well as being an experienced clinician, he also undertakes medico-legal work and is a certified expert witness with Cardiff University and Bond Solon.
