Personal Profile

Mrs Kat is a leading Midlands plastic surgeon specialising in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. As a perfectionist, she believes in achieving the best possible result for every patient.

She graduated from the National University of Singapore Medical School in 1987 and trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the regional plastic centre at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, Queen Mary University Hospital in Roehampton and Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury.

Mrs Kat undertook her 18-month breast fellowship at the regional breast centre based at the University Hospital of Manchester and at the Plastic and Reconstruction Unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, USA. She then undertook a six-month cosmetic fellowship at the renowned Wellington Hospital in London gaining experience in endoscopic browlifts, facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasties and body contouring including liposuction and abdominoplasties. 

She was appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the University Hospital of Birmingham in October 2000, with a general plastic and breast interest. In April 2003, her NHS breast surgery work led her to develop a similar service at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. In October 2010, Mrs Kat stopped her NHS commitments to dedicate herself full time to her Birmingham Skin, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic

Mrs Kat also offers a range of non-surgical cosmetic procedures including fillers and laser treatments at her clinic in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

She enjoys all watersports, tennis and golf.
