Personal Profile

Mr Corbin is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Specialist in treating patients with disorders of the whole of the upper limb, including the Shoulder and Elbow and the Hand and Wrist. His NHS practice is at the Lincoln County Hospital.

He completed his Higher Specialist Orthopaedic Training in the Wessex region becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, having working at hospitals that include Southampton General Hospital, Portsmouth and the Hampshire Hospitals in Basingstoke, but prior to that he has worked at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

Following this, he has completed a 12-month Shoulder and Elbow fellowship in Bournemouth and subsequently was successful in acquiring the British Orthopaedic Association Transitional fellowship in Hand and Upper Limb surgery at the Wirral Teaching Hospitals with Mr Vijay Bhalaik and Mr Alfred Morris. There he received advanced training in disorders of the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. During that time, he has also been a visiting fellow of the Derby Pulvertaft Hand Unit. He has worked as a consultant at the Warrington and Halton Hospitals and the Gloucester Hospitals before moving to Lincoln.

He has a keen interest in the management of traumatic Upper Limb injuries and has a Master’s degree in Trauma Surgery. He maintains a strong interest in education and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor. He is a named supervisor for junior doctors in training and he has taught on Upper Limb topics on the Mersey Orthopaedic Training rotation and has been a member of faculty on various Royal College of Surgeon orthopaedic fellowship exam preparation courses.
