About Caroline Tensel

Personal Profile

Mrs. Caroline Tensel graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Following comprehensive clinical rotations across key physiotherapy disciplines, she specialised primarily in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

In 2009, Caroline developed a keen interest in Pelvic Health while working alongside a Continence and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. To enhance her expertise, she completed Pilates training, integrating this into her patient care approach. She established a continence service for the local Primary Care Trust and collaborated closely with bladder and bowel teams. Subsequently, Caroline joined BMI The Beaumont as a Pelvic Health Specialist, where she was appointed Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health in 2012. Caroline has more recently moved to Circle Cheshire Clinic in Northwich where she runs the Pelvic Health service for Physiotherapy.

Caroline’s expertise spans pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions, post-natal assessments, urinary continence, bowel, pelvic pain and prolapse. She is also a certified menopause coach, further broadening her holistic approach to women’s health. During consultations, she offers specialist assessment, accurate diagnosis and collaboratively develops personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
