About Dr Bob Grover

Personal Profile

Dr Bob Grover qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1996 and obtained a First Class honours BSc during his medical school training. After extensive training in Gastroenterology, General Medicine and Hepatology at teaching and district general hospitals across North West London, Dr Grover was awarded a competitive Royal College of Physicians Fellowship to train towards a PhD. He was a clinical research fellow at Imperial College London and was awarded his thesis in 2010 for his work on Brain Imaging in Liver disease.

He has presented his work at International meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Grover then undertook further training in advanced Hepatology at the Internationally-renowned King’s College Hospital Liver Unit and St Mary’s Hospital and was awarded sub-specialty accreditation in Hepatology. Dr Grover is a full-time Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and General Physician at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals.

He is the Clinical Lead for the North West London (NWL) Gastroenterology Clinical Reference Group (CRG) that co-ordinates Gastroenterology Services across North West London and represents the Hillingdon NHS Trust for Hepatology in the NWL CRG. He is the Clinical Specialty Lead for Acute Medical Specialties at the Hillingdon Hospitals Trust for Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Respiratory and Endocrinology.

He looks after NHS in and outpatients with gastroenterological and liver conditions. He is the clinical lead for the Trust’s Alcohol strategy and runs the service for treatment of patients with hepatitis. He also provides endoscopy services to both in and out patients, and is an accredited colonoscopy trainer. Additionally he provides emergency out-of-hours endoscopy cover to both Hillingdon and the Harefield Hospitals.

He has been awarded 3 Clinical Excellence awards by the Trust for his contribution to patient service development and quality improvement.
Dr Grover’s private practice reflects his NHS practice at both Bishops Wood Hospital and the Clementine Churchill Hospital. He performs outpatient clinics every week, seeing new and follow-up patients with acute and chronic gastroenterological and liver conditions. He performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy tests at the Clementine Churchill. He strives to provide a compassionate, high quality, safe and efficient service to all of his patients.
