Dr Bharath Kumar Cheripelli is a substantive Consultant Neurologist currently practicing at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, based at Salford Royal Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest neuroscience units in the UK.

He completed his medical degree in India in 2003, followed by postgraduate training in the UK, working at various locations. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. He began further specialist training in neurology in 2009 in Aberdeen, Scotland. In 2012, he moved to University of Glasgow in Glasgow to pursue a clinical research MD in the subject of stroke. He has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He completed neurology training in Glasgow in 2016 and has been a full-time NHS consultant in Salford since February 2017.

He has a broad range of experience in general neurology covering all aspects of neurological disorders, with a particular focus on headaches, epilepsy, tremor, Parkinson's disease, dizziness, neuropathy, balance issues, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, neuropathy, memory problems, spinal disorders, muscle problems, and functional neurological disorders.

He provides an acute neurology in-reach service within Salford Royal Hospital. He also has a special interest in vascular neurology and participates in hyperacute stroke care at the hospital.

He has an excellent reputation not only with patients but also with clinical colleagues in both secondary and primary care. Alongside his clinical work, he supervises medical students and trainee doctors, participates in comprehensive stroke centre research studies, and has a strong passion for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
