About Miss Bareen Shah

Personal Profile

Miss Bareen Shah qualified from Imperial Medical School and was trained on the Westminster Surgical rotation. Miss Shah completed her surgical training in general, breast and endocrine surgery in 2003.

Miss Shah has been lead clinician for breast and endocrine surgery since taking her Consultant appointment at Ealing Hospital now part of North West University NHS Trust and also works at Charing Cross Hospital. She has particular expertise in breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and leads dedicated specialist teams.

She is an ex-President of The Royal Society of Medicine’s clinical section and is currently on the Council for the Section of Surgery at The RSM.

Miss Shah is an enthusiastic teacher of undergraduates and post graduates and a committed surgical trainer. She was part of the Steering Group for Breast Surgery for the London Cancer Alliance and a National Peer Reviewer for both breast and Thyroid Cancer.

Miss Shah runs regular all female One Stop diagnostic clinic. She has performed surgery on over 300 thyroid and parathyroid cases and over 1000 breast lesions with excellent outcomes and positive patient satisfaction.

She has an interest in disease amongst different ethnic groups and gives regular talks at community centres, temples and mosques regarding the importance of early presentation in both breast and endocrine disease.
