Professor Ash Mosahebi studied at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in London. His plastic surgical training was in London Deanery in some of the largest and busiest hospitals in the UK.

He had further training in complex reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in Manhattan New York, as well as aesthetic training in Belgium. As one of the leading plastic surgeons, he teaches cosmetic surgery to other plastic surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons. Prof. Mosahebi is a professor of plastic surgery at University College London, consistently in top 10 world ranking.

Prof. Mosahebi is also involved in pioneering research work on regenerating new tissues through new biomaterials and tissue engineering. He was one of the first consultants to perform Vaser liposuction in the UK with his area of expertise being body sculpturing and breast re-shaping. He has extensive experience on facial rejuvenation both surgically and using non-surgical techniques. He also carries out post weight loss for patients with significant weight loss such as full body lifting, thigh lifts and facelifts.

His approach to his practice is to take the time required to discuss all the options available and tailor the surgery for the individual. Mr Mosahebi works closely with the regional breast cancer and skin cancer teams. He offers immediate or delayed breast reconstruction, including microsurgical reconstruction using a tummy tuck flap to reconstruct the breast. He has appeared on the BBC One Show carrying out such surgery.

Mr Mosahebi was the former deputy editor of the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery (a British plastic surgery journal), he is also the author of a number of publications and has lectured at national conferences such as The Body Conference, to other surgeons. He regularly appears on TV, providing expert commentary and is often called upon by BAAPS as a spokesperson.
