Dr Antony Thomas has qualified in Medicine in 1989 and had post-graduate training in general medicine. His neurology training took place at St James University Hospital Leeds, Leicester Royal Infirmary and University Teaching Hospital Southampton. Dr Thomas has done clinical research in Motor Neurone Disease at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. Dr Thomas is a consultant neurologist at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and also has clinical commitments at Alexandra Hospital Redditch and Princess of Wales Community Hospital Bromsgrove.
He has set up a regional specialist headache service at University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire, investigating and treating severe and refractory headache disorders after having had training by the Headache Group at National Hospital Queen Square London. He also has a special interest in neuro-ophthalmology and runs a weekly neuro-ophthalmology clinic at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
