About Mr Angus Neil Waddell

Personal Profile

Mr Waddell Qualified from the University of London in 1990. He was appointed as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1994 and has worked as an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon since then. His training was undertaken in and around Bristol with additional spells in Toronto, Canada and at Great Ormond Street Hospital. London.

He has been a Consultant Surgeon at the GWH since 2003.

He is also now the Associate Medical Director for the Surgery, Women’s and Children’s Division at the Great Western Hospital

He is the Academy Dean and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education taking charge of all Medical Student hospital based education in the region.

He does charitable work with the Britain Nepal Otology Service for whom he leads surgical training camps in rural western Nepal 

In 2014 he received a National Merit Award for his collective achievements which he has held ever since.
 
In 2017 he received a Pride of Swindon Award from the mayor.

Mr Waddell is a General Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in problems relating to the ear including:
