Mr Andy Hacker – Consultant Hand & Wrist Surgeon

Mr Andy Hacker qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1999 and completed his postgraduate surgical training, achieving MRCS in 2004. In 2005, he joined the South West Thames specialist orthopaedic training rotation in London, developing a strong interest in hand and wrist surgery. He gained extensive experience at hospitals across South West London, including St George’s Hospital, working alongside both orthopaedic and plastic hand surgeons.

Mr Hacker furthered his expertise internationally with a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the renowned Royal Northshore Hospital in Sydney, Australia, under Professor Michael Tonkin. After being awarded FRCS in 2010 and completing his training in 2011, he was appointed Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Milton Keynes University Hospital, where he performs both elective and emergency surgery for the hand, wrist, and shoulder, as well as general trauma on call.

  • He consults privately at The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes (no referral required for private appointments) and sees patients from Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Woburn, Luton, and surrounding areas.
  • NHS patients can also be seen at Saxon Clinic, although a referral is required via your GP or referrer

Outside of medicine, Andy is a keen sportsman, enjoying rugby, skiing, and country sports.
