Andrew Pearson is one of only a handful of truly specialist hip surgeons in the UK. His private practice is solely devoted to treating hip conditions.

Andrew specialises exclusively in this area being a high volume hip surgeon with excellent outcomes and very low complication rates. 

He offers pain relieving injections, total hip replacements and revision surgery (helping patients where previous surgery has failed).

Andrew also treats people from around the world and across the country, with all kinds of hip injuries caused by playing sport, trauma and arthritis.

A highly qualified surgeon, Andrew graduated from the Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1995 with distinction and winning the final year surgery prize as the highest placed student in London.

His higher surgical training in Orthopaedics brought him to the West Midlands. He undertook his senior fellowship advanced training in complex and revision hip surgery in Oxford before taking up his consultant post at one of the leading specialist orthopaedic hospitals in the country, The Royal Orthopaedic in Birmingham, in 2004.

In addition to his clinical hip practice, Andrew was Medical Director at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital from 2013 -19. During this time he successfully lead on improving orthopaedic surgery outcomes and patient experience across Birmingham.

He has presented at conferences locally, nationally and globally, and he also teaches trainee surgeons in diagnostic and surgical techniques.

Andrew’s surgical results and outcomes are regularly reviewed by his peer surgeons ensuring that his practice maintains the very highest standards.
