Personal Profile

Mr Anastasios Giamouriadis is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at NHS Grampian and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen. He also theLead Minimally Invasive, Skull Base and Pituitary Surgeon at the North of Scotland Brain and Spine Centre.

Over the past 10 years, he has worked in London and New York, specialising in minimally invasive brain, spine and peripheral nerve surgery.

Mr Giamouriadis has a strong academic and research background. He is the lead author of one of the most widely published neurosurgical handbooks worldwide. He regularly delivers lectures and runs training courses both nationally and internationally. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the British Journal of Neurosurgery.

With experience in more than 2,000 neurosurgical procedures, he brings a high level of expertise to his practice. His focus on minimally invasive “keyhole” surgery aims to maximise safety and efficiency, reduce hospital stay, speed up recovery as well as achieve excellent cosmetic results.
