Anastasia Rachmanidou was born in Thessaloniki Greece, where she studied Medicine in Aristoteleion University. She completed her foundation year, following which she had General Surgical Training in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Anastasia further specialised in Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (European Training Scheme). During this period, she also worked in the UK as a Junior Doctor and explored further subspecialisation.
Upon completion of her initial training, she moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where she was offered the position of Specialist Registrar and completed her Higher Surgical Training in Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. At the same time, Anastasia achieved a Certificate in Forensic Medicine, awarded by the University of Edinburgh. Further research opportunity was achieved by her Fellowship in Rhinitis, in Barts and The London Hospital, where she engaged in the pathophysiology and inflammatory responses of allergic and non-allergic rhinitis; working together with Respiratory Physicians and Allergists.
