She developed further sub-specialist expertise in oculoplastic surgery after undertaking fellowships in Brighton and then in Cardiff, Wales. Dr Goawalla has been practising as a consultant eye surgeon since 2013.
Dr Goawalla also holds a BSc (Hons) in immunology from the University of London and a Master’s degree in Surgical Education from Imperial College, London.
She joined Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a substantive consultant in 2017. At this central London, world renowned, teaching hospital NHS Trust, she undertakes and teaches emergency and general ophthalmology as well as complex cataract surgery, all of which she very much enjoys.
As a highly experienced eye surgeon, her continued specialist focus is on standard and complex cataract surgery, with both standard and premium lens implants.

In her spare time, Dr Goawalla, enjoys painting, walking and travelling. She is passionate about giving back and has had the opportunity to undertake community work locally as well as to volunteer her surgical skills in South East Asia where she undertook cataract and eyelid surgery
She sees and treats both self-funded and insured private patients as well as NHS patients referred via Brent Community Ophthalmology Service at Hendon Hospital.
Furthermore, she is fee assured with all the major health insurers and also treats patients referred via most international embassies.
