Dr Amy Luck is a qualified Clinical Psychologist with 11 years of experience helping people with a range of emotional and behavioural problems. She is registered with the HCPC and has chartered membership with the BPS. She first completed a BSc psychology, followed by a PhD in psychology at the University of London and then a further Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester.

Dr Luck has experience of working with individuals, couples and families with a range of problems. She has worked with people with anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, emotion regulation problems, self-harm and eating disorders.

She also works for Oxford Health NHS service within the eating disorder service and has done so for the past 8 years. Dr Luck provides a confidential and non-judgemental space for people to work through their difficulties. Her therapeutic interventions use cognitive-behavioural therapy, strategies from dialectical behavioural therapy such as mindfulness and emotional regulation, as well as motivational interviewing, solution focussed therapy and systemic thinking.

She can offer schema focused cognitive behavioural therapy and can deliver both time limited and also longer term therapies. Dr Luck provides and receives regular supervision within the NHS. She also teaches psychologists in training at Oxford University. Dr Luck has been actively involved in mental health research, publishing in journals and also attending and presenting at national and international conferences.

Dr Luck has been working in a specialist eating disorder service for 8 years, has produced publications and has extensive experience in this field.
