About Mrs Amrita Roy

Personal Profile

Amrita is an experienced Physiotherapist with a strong clinical background in rehabilitation and musculoskeletal care. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2012 at the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, India, before beginning her career in a multi-specialty hospital setting. During this time, she developed a broad range of clinical skills, working with patients across intensive care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics, orthopaedics, neurology, and women’s health.

Her early experience in a variety of healthcare environments, including hospital departments, outpatient clinics, and independent practice, has helped shape her adaptable and patient-focused approach. Amrita understands that every patient’s recovery journey is different and takes the time to provide personalised care plans that are tailored to individual needs, goals, and lifestyles.

After relocating to the UK, Amrita continued to develop her expertise within the NHS, gaining valuable experience working with a wide range of conditions and patient groups. She later progressed into private healthcare and now works as part of the physiotherapy team at The Chiltern Hospital, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation support for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Amrita specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal problems, helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, improve mobility, and regain confidence in their movement. Her approach combines evidence-based treatment with a strong focus on education, empowering patients to understand their condition and actively participate in their recovery.

She has a strong foundation in manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques. Amrita is passionate about helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, whether they are recovering following surgery, managing a long-term condition, or looking to improve their physical function and overall wellbeing.

Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Amrita continues to explore complementary and holistic approaches to enhance patient outcomes. Her caring approach, clinical knowledge, and dedication to improving quality of life make her a valued member of the team at The Chiltern Hospital.
