Mr Amit Sinha

Mr Amit Sinha qualified from Patna University, India in 1989.  Having qualified as a surgeon in India in 1993 he came to the UK in 1996 and obtained GMC Specialist Registration in Surgery in 2006.

Mr Sinha has extensive laparoscopic general surgical experience with particular expertise in laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic hernia surgery.

Mr Sinha spent the majority of his time as a registrar gaining experience in colorectal surgery and subsequent to his specialist registration, he worked as a Fellow in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery at the Department of Colorectal Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital with Professor Eu Kong Weng. This provided Mr Sinha with hands on experience in laparoscopic management of both benign and malignant colorectal disease and anal canal conditions. 

Mr Sinha has particular interest in the management of haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas of the anal canal.

He has JAG (Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) accreditation, for independent specialist practice in the modalities of gastro-duodenoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.

• Surgery for haemorrhoids – THD procedure, stapled haemorrhoidopexy, open haemorrhoidectomy


• Management of anal canal fissure, anal canal fistula and pilonidal sinus
